ADDITIONAL ARCHITECTURAL OR STRUCTURAL DESCRIPTION:

1 1/2 story, 5 x 3 bay vernacular farmhouse with aluminum siding over clapboards. Although the post-and-beam structure is sound, the frame was twisted by a tornado in 1927. A wide porch was removed from the front and replaced with a modern shed-roofed entrance porch in the 1960's. There is a one story shed addition in the rear. Metal roof, center chimney. Windows are 2/2 in plain surrounds. The entrance is centrally located in the front eaves side but has no distinctive characteristics. This house has been extensively modernized, but most of the exterior changes are reversible. Owned by Pollero family in 1857 and R. D. Coon in 1871.
