1870 Tax Records dated May 14, 1870 read:
Henry Stearns - 2 A and bldgs - $775

The Halberts, (two generations) seem to have owned this from the late 1850's but it is not very clear. Vol 16, pages 597 and 122 might be of help if anyone wants to track this farther. The mortgage is dated November 12, 1860.
